Rationale:
Inhalations with beta-2 agonists are ineffective for bronchiolitis. Adrenaline inhalations should not routinely be given but may be considered for selected children with significant respiratory distress. Their effect should be carefully evaluated, and treatment discontinued if ineffective. Inhalations with hypertonic or isotonic saline have not been shown to impact symptoms or the course of bronchiolitis and are not recommended.
